Remote Installation

New functionality — Remote installation — is now available for Windows environment. It gives an opportunity to easy install the Client on a remote computer through your Management Console. Before starting remote installation, firstly place installers on the server side into the same <packages> directory as update packages with subdirectories named Win-x86-install and Win-x64-install and single installer.exe (renamed client installer) file inside of each folder.

When the update packages and installers are uploaded, you can start the remote installation:

• Go to Actions tab in Management Console and select Remote installation…:

• Specify credentials to access remote computers and press the OK button. Please pay your attention to the fact that to be able to access, domain administrator or local user credentials are required (including domain name in user name if it is needed):

• List of remote computers will appear in a new window:

• Choose a necessary machine for installation and press the Install button:

• Please verify that default product (Server, Workstation or your own product) is specified in the config.ini file of Management Engine like it is shown below:

• When the process is succeeded, IASO 2012 Client appears on a remote computer. You have just to start it and specify the encryption key to complete the installation and start using the Client.
